Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2019

Rove St. will be premiering two original plays at the Fringe this year in the Fife Theatre of theSpace on North Bridge, inside the beautiful Hilton Hotel.

Hello? Hello. or Everything I Ever Wanted to Tell You is a new drama by Victoria J Valliere. It is an exploration of individuality and community, and the importance of both.

Exploring issues of mental health, equality, current political divisions, personal freedom, childhood trauma, and emotional abuse, Hello? Hello. asks if someone can truly change their life, and celebrates the empowering nature of friendship, community, and the strength of the human spirit to make that answer a resounding ‘yes’.

As described in the programme: A young woman calls a helpline. Someone answers. She isn't a helpline. A misdial that leads to an accidental friendship. Despite pressures from a right-wing sister and ear-worms from a cruel best friend, empowering community and rebellious art persist. About finding the courage to heal from the past and become who you are, this is a play celebrating the power of human connection and the endurance of the human spirit. For everyone who has ever felt alone in this world. For those who refuse to leave them there.

There Is No Problem (Here) is a fast-paced comedy created by Cecile Durel about individuality and finding yourself in a world of constant solicitations.

As described in the programme: Have you ever wondered what your favourite fairy tale characters are up to off-duty? Well, there’s a good chance they’re just like you and me in the break room – simply trying to enjoy a nice coffee but constantly getting delayed by relentless drama. A satirical, thoughtful comedy exploiting life’s unavoidable concerns in a way you’ve never seen them before.
